I know my drink!

Ah! Those stares I get at clubs when ordering Scotch Whisky is something that I really cherish. It usually throws people off their topic and begs them to pay attention to a lady who knows her drink.

Knowing the drink and knowing your personal favorite drink, are two different things and are gender neutral. I see women around me who have not experimented enough with their spirit levels and are hence ignorant, the men are not much different either.

Like relationships, your drink might need some exploration as well. Finding that special one is just makes your day go by a little better and leaves you happy before you tuck yourself in the bed. Quite recently, I’ve found my new special drink, the Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve, nurtured with the triple maturation process which involves Grain whiskies and Malt whiskies separately matured in American Bourbon Casks, blended together and matured again in Oloroso Sherry Butts for an extra longer period of time to give the blend a distinctive flavour and a delicate finish.

Ladies, you have to know your drink, because trust me when I say this, men might claim that they know what they’re doing, but honestly, they’re pretty much clueless most of the times. And you have to question them if they’re trying to bring you down, puts them at their place. 😉 My (male) friend always says, “There’s nothing sexier than a woman who can debate her Scotch”. And why not, women have had their share of Scotch. It’s not a ‘man’ thing anymore! Quoting Greta Garbo’s from the movie Anna Christie “Gimme a whisky. Ginger ale on the side. And don’t be stingy, baby.”

All this said and done, to bring out the ‘fun’ quotient in you, order it at a bar and see heads turn. There is indeed nothing sexier than a woman ordering the drink she knows!
